It was cool crisp November morning here Colorado 3rd rifle season CO big season has begin. I get up at 5A.M to eat breakfast and take my vitamins. I told my dad i was walking up there he kind of gets mad an frustrated with me, wanting too help me and do the things i do (with him knowing i have MS), i think it is the father character in him. I just tell him, yes your right MS is a part of me not who i am. Don't Tell me things i can't do and be happy in the things i can do. We walk up in there at dark an arrive just before day break. To me i think we are catching the tail end of the rut; the bulls are screaming and cows are chirping. With all this going on we still have one more obstacle to get by. We have to climb up about 8' little over hang to get to are vantage point. Well we get up there just as we really start to see farther. As we sit there all the elk still in the timber running around screaming. Sorting out what they think is dominiatance. The first cows start coming out, there is about 42 cows and 9 bulls in the group.

They start scurrying along the tree line. I thought they were going to stay in the bottom nope that was not the case. The lead cow starts heading up the hill and out. Man what physico trying to sort out the bulls.

We narrow it down to the two biggest ones. Bam my farther an Joseph(is a filim guy for earned media)  located the one. He is a giant with seven on his left side and six on his right. I have my dad range him, he is 833 yards away. I click my terits over. I am very comfort able up to 1000 yards with my gun. All ammo is hand loaded with Berger bullets in a 7mag. We went and shot my gun all summer long getting use to it as well as comfortable making shoots like these. All practice shots ranged form 500, 800, and a 1000 yards. Constently i would shoot 2 inch group at 500 and a 11 inch croup at a 1000. So i was very prepared, but for the add excitement thats another story. The bull hits skyline; i steady take a deep breath. The bull turned the other way. I had no shot, just a rear quarter one. There was no way i was no way i was taking that shoot. I tucked my head took a deep breath in disbelief. I clicked my scope back too my zero sat up shaking my head. Joseph let out a cow chirp……….. out of the timber to are far right come running is a big bull we never saw or knew he was there. i had to make a last minute change in my position i was in. There is no stopping this bull screaming and running at the same time. He would not turn brodsight, if he went another 100 yards he would be in the trees and i would lose him. I told my dad to range in front of him. Clicked my scope over steadied for the shot. He was going to be a 433 yards…………. i took a deep breath, touched off hitting him square in the chest. He fell down managed too crawl over to a ravine. We waited for a good 20 minutes. We figured he expired. We started shaking hands……… he stood up and was walking out. I touched off again and that was it. Don't tell me i can't do something cause of my condition, MS is just a part of me not who i am.
